Your First Appointment
We are delighted to welcome you as a new patient to our office. We would like to give you an idea of what to expect at your first visit
Your consultation appointment will take about an hour. We will review your medical history and past dental treatment, your reasons for seeking care and the results you desire to achieve. Dr. Wu will do a clinical exam by taking measurements around your teeth and gum. This oral exam is supplemented with dental X-rays (radiographs) before an accurate diagnosis can be made. We appreciate having any X-rays from your dentist. However, we might have to take a few of our own because Dr. Wu requires them at various angles to develop a personalized treatment plan for you. Dr. Wu will then discuss options of what we will or would possibly be doing to improve your periodontal health and pros and cons of each option. We will also explain our financial policy. You will receive a written treatment estimate following your consultation.
We take a team approach to patient care, which means we will be in contact with your family dentist, via a written report or a personal phone call. In this way, we work together and stay informed of your progress. We encourage you to ask questions to fully understand your treatment options. Our team is here to help you make an informed choice. We want to make sure you are well taken care of during your visit.
